MOQ & Industrial Constraints FAQ.
What is the lowest MOQ at Laboratoire CEVRAI?
Our lowest minimum quantities are 500 pots for royal jelly and 1,000 units for dropper bottles, sprays and bottles for liquids. Celsdose® starts at 31,680 doses. Glass ampoules and liquid or gel sticks start at 50,000 units.
How is the MOQ calculated for powders?
Powder MOQs are based on a bulk blend of 450 kg, whether it is packed in pots, doypacks or bulk bags. The number of finished units therefore depends on your fill weight, from 30 g to 25 kg per unit.
What is the MOQ for hard capsules, blisters and pillboxes?
Bulk hard capsules start at 100,000 units, in size 1, 0 or 00. Blisters start at 100,000 units. Pillboxes start at 100,000 capsules or 1,500 units.
Are these MOQs fixed?
These quantities are indicative. Send us your project brief and we will confirm the quantities that apply to your project.
Do you also handle secondary packaging in boxes?
Yes. Secondary packaging in boxes is available for glass ampoules, Celsdose® and blisters.
Do you produce your own plant extracts?
Yes. Our in-house extraction centre produces aqueous plant extracts from conventional or organic raw materials. It is equipped with four vats, from 1,000 to 4,000 L. After extraction, each extract is filtered on a Büchner system, which gives very precise results.
How do you stabilise bulk liquids?
We use four methods. Preservatives: sorbate and benzoate. Autoclave sterilisation: 100 °C for 30 minutes. Tyndallisation: 70 °C for 1 hour, repeated over 3 days. Pasteurisation: for aqueous extracts only, with a double pass to stop the microbial load. Bulk liquids are supplied in IBC of 1,000 L, with a minimum order of 1,000 L.
How long does a project take, from project brief to shipment?
You receive a theoretical offer within 24 to 72 hours after we receive your project brief. Laboratory trials and feasibility validation take 3 weeks on average. Production then takes 3 to 8 weeks, depending on the product type. The goods are shipped once the batch is released after microbiological testing.
